It is my humble opinion..

God's Boys will be good boys!

That a great Pastor is like a conductor. Who directs the people of God to act in symphony to do the will of God, in beautiful concert with one another. He invites, as it were for them to play their family instrument for God's glory, in the world. He invites them in on cue and shuts them up, when they are playing out of turn. God has a beautiful symphony that He is playing with the instruments of His Church. Finding the will of God and doing it, is the key!

Who is Aiming you, my son?

God's Boys will be good boys!

In Proverbs 5:21, it is clear that the ways that you go are pondered by the Lord. It is as though God is looking at men as His gun. Where are you aiming yourself? Are you aiming yourself to the good of the next generation? Are you aiming yourself for the development of love and honor? Then, you are His gun and He takes pleasure in your ways, cleans and sharpens you. But, if you lend yourself to the love of your own ways and not family and growth for the next generation, You may never know His hand upon you. That would be the worst judgement of all. Do you sit in the holster and wait for the direction of the Lord? Do you wait in the quiver of home and wait for the help of the Lord in your direction? Know His ways and sense His direction and help upon your life. It is direction to love and grow your family and live to His glory in the world. There is really nothing better than to know that about yourself. Am I God's gun?

Facebook Friends.

God's Boys will be good boys!

I know that I am dating myself, by discussing Facebook with you. I make fun and act like I am computer illiterate. I am not illiterate on the Facebook. I am just very slow. I love the progress. I love that young people find it amusing and entertaining to keep tabs on hundreds of people and their doings daily. They communicate their heart and they read others' hearts. It is a very violating thing, to me, or seems so. The wise person studies how to answer. We must be aware of the importance of the heart communication and the accepting of people as friends and acquaintances. Just trying to pray for all of your facebook friends is a chore, all by itself. Each relationship is a stewardship from God and the most important of all stewardship. God says that you have a responsibility to the people that you know and accept into friendship. Are you minimizing the word friendship? Are you aware of the difference between an acquaintance and a friend? Are you able to maintain the discipline of communicating with this many people? It makes me very uncomfortable to be in acquaintance and accessibility to so very many. I know that this is progress and fully accepted by most people, but I encourage you to scrutinize the use of your time on these facilities and the engagement of your heart in real and imagined relationships. Is it searing our consciences not to be sensitive to the real needs of others? We know alot of people and do we really communicate with God.
Suggestion: monitor the time you spend on the Facebook. schedule your time and attention on this.

Driving Class! Drivers Ed?

God's Boys will be good boys!

What are you driving at? Where are you driving to? These are not the questions yet. You are going to driving class. What kind of driver will you be?
"What, my son..."

Here we are in Sophomore Year.

God's Boys will be good boys!

A "wise-moron" literally, what an accurate depiction of Sophomore year. I am not calling you a smart-alec, but whoever coined that phrase for the second year of study, was a student of the mind. Questions and answers for everything, it is as though the mind says, I want to study, but I don't want to learn. Knowing enough to make you smarter, but not enough to make you an expert. Help us Lord negotiate through the sophomoric in our thinking.

The fight scene!

God's Boys will be good boys!

My choreographer put together a fight scene for a movie. He held the camera to take the pieces in slow motion and then piece them together to make a movie. I really like that, except when somebody gets hurt. Try setting the scene with claymations instead of using my children for robots, next time, maybe. I love it. I will add it to your blog as soon as you let me get my hands on it.

Sunday Sumfun!

God's Boys will be good boys!

Yesterday, we talked about the armorbearer. We talked about learning to serve your father and be his armorbearer. I want you, son to carry and take the responsibility of serving your father for the glory of God. We have Sunday after Sunday where we share and grow. Follow father, my son and learn all that you can and do all you can to give to him, while you can.
Enjoy your fun.
