Like an orange to my hungry mouth!

God's Boys will be good boys!

We were in the middle of a very important game that would be the difference between, playoffs or no. I had forgotten to take lunch again and never had any money. I couldn't faint that day. No way. I would play. Maybe Dad would bring a sandwich or something when he came to watch us. That was a hope. He didn't.
I remember the sight, as though from heaven. The athletic director was walking from the office with a huge plate of oranges. I would not die! I would not faint. I think I even may have won that match, just on the extra potassium, that day. It was the most refreshing thing that I can imagine. To be just that hungry and just that parched and the feeling of those oranges on my hungry mouth, was a delight that I will never forget.

Finals are over!

God's Boys will be good boys!

So, the first semester of High School is over! Is it hooray? Are you happy that the first semester is behind you?
My first semester was somewhat a success. I learned to train my mind to think of more than one thing at a time. I felt that people were throwing balls at me for me to juggle. The subway and the problems on the subway were a hurdle. My color distracted me, in class. Why is my skin brown? It seemed to come to me and take my mind off my studies, like a demon. Why am I taking Latin? I don't understand a word she is saying. I studied vocabulary and studied my tenses and tried hard and I was always coming up with the wrong translation. How come the other girls don't have that problem, I wondered? The first January, we had Sports Night which was the one thing that brought relief and help in the midst of the toils and concerns of the studies. Freshman Candyland, we did. It was superb!
I hope that your memories are as lucid of your High school days.

The good of eating vegetables.

God's Boys will be good boys!

Why should I eat my okra? Because it is good for you. I eat my okra. I eat my stringbeans, spinach. Perhaps there is a correlation between being a Daniel and eating vegetables? Maybe not, but eat them anyway. Look it up.

READ THE GOOD EARTH, BY PEARL S. BUCK

God's Boys will be good boys!

Economic development is lined out and the relationship between Chinese checkers and the real working together of people for the good of the whole will help you to navigate the changes and the consistencies of the world that you are about to inherit.

Walk with God in 2010!

God's Boys will be good boys!

When you were a baby, I used to sing this sweet song to you.

"Now walk with God,
And He will be your dearest friend.
Where'er you go,
In everything you do,
And may your life,
Reflect His light to everyone.
So, Walk with God and He will walk with you!"

Enoch, in the scriptures, walked with God and he was not for God took him. He walked so closely that God didn't allow him to see death.
Enoch walked with God at the testimony of Noah and Methuselah who taught Him about God. God is not far from us, when we seek Him. Walking with God in the new year is not going to mean perfection, but peace and growth. So many times we say, I didn't know that before. Learning something new from God everyday is what we are aiming for. So...walk with God, my son. He will walk with you.
