Thrilled at Thankfulness

God's Boys will be good boys!

No personal interaction is easy. It cannot be put into a video and imitated in every instance. This is the danger of every generation.
My Dad's grandmother was concerned about the movie generation, not being able to relate and when tv came out and they gave him 20 minute limits a day, so that he would not forget how to communicate with people. We are surely in danger of just such a circumstance. People take the videos that they watch and inject the theorem from them into all of their relationships.
I was wondering what was up with everybody and every preacher man getting into scaring the pants off of everybody trying to scare them into a relationship with them or with God.
I could name 10 or 12 preachers that routinely use some sort of scare tactic in their evangelism attempts. It might work for some people, but I fear that they have been "THRILLERIZED". That video has become so pervasive an influence on the world that people go in and out of churches and marriages and relationship when the THRILL is gone.
God is so far above that type of single resource relating style. We live in a country where we are exposed to so many relating styles that no one need be monolythic.
God give us grace to use the gifts that He has given us richly to enjoy for His glory and for the enjoyment of our relationships. God is love.
I am thankful that we can learn to be thrilled in love and at the goodness of one another and not just away from the torments outside of our relationships.
